As a member of the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory Saxophone Studio, you will take weekly lessons with Dr. Nathan Salazar, attend a weekly studio class, and perform in saxophone chamber groups and the BW Saxophone Ensemble. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the BW Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Musical Theatre Pit Orchestra.

Students of Dr. Salazar have been admitted into top tier graduate programs, including Michigan State University, the University of Cincinnati, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and Bowling Green State University.

Dr. Salazar’s students regularly participate in competitions and have won competitions such as the Ohio state round of the MTNA Young Artist Woodwind Competition and the Tuesday Musical Association Young Artist Woodwind Competition, and have been selected as a finalist for the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory Lauria Concerto and Aria Competition.
